Mama on a Green Mission: Turn Baby Food to Toddler Friendly ...


Jarred baby food is packed full of nutrition for your infant. Transitioning your children off of jarred foods and onto toddler products can be a bit of a challenge after their palates have adjusted to the flavors of jarred foods.

Luckily, there are ways to transform baby food into delicious, fun, nutrient-filled toddler or family foods. You can add baby food to familiar recipes, or create some recipes of your own. Either way, healthy baby foods can shape your child's diet for many more years. For example---a couple of jars of pureed baby applesauce can be added to whole grain muffin batter to make moist morning treats. Pureed winter squash, mixed with savory ingredients and some milk, will become a warm, rich soup. I have a friend who adds the pureed carrots to her spaghetti sauce just for the nutrients! There are endless possibilities! With LA being such a picky eater these are priceless recipes in our home!
